STONE HARBOR MANOR – The half dozen candidates for the Second Congressional District on Nov. 6 stood before about 75 voters Oct. 23 at the Wetlands Institute and told why they should get the seat.
The hour-long event, hosted by the League of Women Voters of Cape May County, billed as a Meet and Greet, not a debate, afforded each candidate five minutes to make a convincing statement why he or she was superior to the rest.

The Surrogate is one of three state Constitutional officers in the county. The others are sheriff and county clerk.
