ERMA – Several neighbors in the area of the 800 block of Cresse Lane, Erma went to Lower Township Council’s Aug. 20 meeting to complain that the farm (absentee owner) near the “Pits” in Erma, and surrounding area, had become a squatters’ campsite with drug usage and people entering and exiting the farm area where their children wait for the school bus in the morning.
Lower Township had previously responded to prior complaints with police on all-terrain vehicles to seek out the encampment. Administrator James Ridgway will return to that area with police and code enforcement to try to locate the encampment.
