City Scraps Beach Box Agreement with Crest

WILDWOOD – City Commissioners passed a resolution Jan. 8, canceling the “Beach Box Agreement” with the Borough of Wildwood Crest. The agreement was approved March 13, 2019, according to the resolution, and updated March 20, 2019.
The agreement, per the resolution, “provides for early termination by mutual agreement or with six months’ notice,” and is contingent upon recouping revenue from the rentals.
According to officials, the city garnered $59,200 during summer 2019, and rented 74 boxes at $1,200 per unit. The city and Wildwood Crest desire to “terminate” the agreement, according to the resolution.
