Change Zoning for Hotel?

COURT HOUSE – Cape May Hospitality, LLC (CMH), a real estate development group, continued its effort to clear the way for a 100-room Hampton Inn at the former site of Design Collaborative, off the Exit 10 access road to the Garden State Parkway.
To proceed with efforts to gain access to the sewer system and other factors critical to the hotel development, CMH needs the approval of Middle Township Committee for a zoning change. The site is zoned rural conservation and CMH is seeking to have it included in the town center designation.
On May 16, the township introduced the ordinance that would facilitate the zoning change. The ordinance will come up for possible adoption Aug. 19. There will be a public hearing at that time.
