CAPE MAY – Bids expected to be taken for the construction of a new Convention Hall scheduled for Tuesday May 25 at 1 p.m. have been rescheduled to June 3 at 1 p.m. due to an addendum to bid specifications that includes demolishing and removing the Solarium.
Addendum No. 2 states: “For this project the general contractor will demolish and completely remove the Solarium Building and foundations. This work shall be reflected in your bid.”
The addendum notes two discrepancies in drawings: that the Solarium will be relocated by the General Contractor and that the city would remove the Solarium.
The addendum states in order to provide inspection of the site, the existing Convention Hall and/or existing Solarium Building, any bidder may do so on Tuesday May 25 at 1 p.m.
The addendum to bidders was prepared by Convention Hall architects Kimmel Bogrette of Conshohocken, Pa. on May 21.
