SEA ISLE CITY – At the May 12 City Council meeting, Sea Isle City Business Administrator George Savastano informed members of a concern that there won’t be sufficient numbers of people to staff lifeguard needs and summer contract police.
“Many individuals are in limbo, and their plans have been disrupted, as have everyone’s because of the pandemic and shutdown,” Savastano said. “We don’t know yet what plans are for students or those we traditionally call to augment our police force in the summer. We share this concern with Ocean City and will be working together to manage and resolve this concern, so all stay safe during this summer season.”
