Bar Association Plans April 30 Law Day Celebration

COURT HOUSE — In celebration of Law Day, the Cape May County Bar Association will hold a Law Fair on April 30 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Cape May County Superior Court, 9 N. Main St. The public is welcome. Light refreshments will be served.
Activities will include an award ceremony and reception for the 2010 Cape May County High School Mock Trial Champions, Lower Cape May Regional High School; four legal presentations; and tables featuring attorneys, Cape May County Agencies and Departments, and Court personnel.
Legal presentations will begin at 9 a.m. and will feature:
● Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office featuring Cyber Safety/Bullying.
● Cape Assist featuring Seniors, Alcohol & Medicare.
● The Arc of New Jersey/Cape May featuring Offenders with Developmental Disabilities.
● Jeffery April, esquire, of the law office of April & Maudsley featuring Presenting Your Small Claims Case.
Tables beginning at 10 a.m. throughout the courthouse include:
Cape May County Bar Association; Cape May County Clerk’s Office; Cape May County Judiciary Civil Division; Cape May County Judiciary Criminal Division; Cape May County Judiciary Family Division; Cape May County Judiciary Human Resources; Cape May County Judiciary Jury Management Office; Cape May County Municipal Division; Cape May County Judiciary Probation Department; Cape May County One Stop Career Center; Cape May County Sheriff’s Department; Cape May County Surrogate’s Office; Cape May County Vicinage Advisory Committee on Minority Concerns; Cape Mediation Services, Inc.; Community Partnership for a Tobacco Free New Jersey; Cooper Levenson; Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children; D’Avanzo, Poserina and McHugh; Divorce Mediation featuring Lisa M. The 2010 Cape May County Law Fair was organized by the Cape May County Bar Association in conjunction with the Cape May County Superior Court with funds provided by the New Jersey State Bar Foundation for the purpose of providing free legal education to the public.
