Aid Motorists with Tweets?

By Camille Sailer

SEA ISLE CITY – A resident suggested to this municipality’s City Council that it start making better use of social media to inform people about road and bridge closings, construction, floods and other disruptions to traffic. “I use social media all the time in my business, and it’s instantaneous. I drive my children to the bus in Avalon from Sea Isle and coming back it would be very helpful to know if I can make it over the bridge or need to detour. It’s always an interesting adventure to figure out if I can make it back home. Using Twitter and sending us tweets would be great.” Business Administrator George Savastano said the city would look into the suggestion.
