STONE HARBOR – A team of assessors from the New Jersey State Association of Chiefs of Police (NJSACOP) will arrive April 17, 2016, to examine all aspects of the Stone Harbor Police Department’s policies and procedures, management, operations, and support services. The team will verify that the Stone Harbor Police Department meets the best practices and accreditation standards.
As part of this final on-site assessment, employees and members of the general public are invited to provide comments to the assessment team. They may do so by telephone or email. The public may call 609-368-1455 April 18 between the hours of 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. Email comments can be set to shpd@police.stone-harbor.nj.us.
Telephone comments are limited to 5 minutes and must address the agency’s ability to comply with the NJSACOP standards. A copy of the standards is available for inspection through the borough website at http://stoneharbornj.org/departments/stone-harbor-public-safety/police/ or at the Stone Harbor Police Department, 9508 Second Avenue, Stone Harbor, NJ.
