3 Return to Council

By Camille Sailer

SEA ISLE CITY – Sea Isle City Council reorganized July 1, at Excursion Park. Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 1963 provided a color guard.
The pledge of allegiance was led by Scout Troop 41012, and the national anthem was led by Kathy Wilson.
Mayor Leonard Desiderio, who has served continuously as mayor since 1993, took his oath of office from Superior Court Judge Michael Donohue. Desiderio administered the oath of office to Frank Edwardi, Jr., who has served as a council member since 2007.
Superior Court Judge John Rauh administered the oath of office to Council member William Kehner, who has also served since 2007.
All are serving four-year terms and ran unopposed earlier this year. They collectively noted that there has been no tax increase in Sea Isle City for five years, and the municipality is well-managed.
