North Wildwood Logo

By Rachel Rogish

NORTH WILDWOOD – Residents Robert and Theresa Carroll thanked North Wildwood Beach Patrol for its “immediate and controlled response” Aug. 20.
City Clerk Scott Jett read the Carroll’s letter describing the events of Aug. 2, when their granddaughter, Natalie, became separated from them on the 8th Avenue beach. Robert Carroll praised beach patrol for conducting the search.
The Carroll’s granddaughter was located, unharmed, near the 15th Avenue beach.
The Carrolls wrote, “You (beach patrol) have a group of young people who, in that specific circumstance, reacted admirably.” Tony Cavalier, chief of North Wildwood’s Beach Patrol, was contacted for further comment, but none was given.
