VILLAS — Lower Township police responded with firefighters to a structure fire Sept. 30 at 10:24 a.m. in the 1600 block Bayshore Road. Patrolman William Kocis was the first officer to arrive on the scene. He advised the Cape May County dispatchers and responding officers that there was visible smoke coming from the residence.
Firefighters from Villas, Townbank and Erma Volunteer Fire Companies responded, according to a release.
Bayshore Road was closed for a short time to allow first responders to work in the area.
