OCEAN CITY – A two-story Ocean City home was damaged by flames May 1 around 4:00 a.m. on the 200 block of West 17th Street, according to NBC 40.
Large flames and heavy smoke were seen coming from the roof when firefighters arrived.
Strong winds and dense fog slowed their efforts to extinguish the blaze, and parts of the building were still burning more than an hour after it was first reported.
The fire was eventually brought under control, and firefighters were seen smashing windows to ventilate the second floor of the home, where the home incurred the most damage.
No one was in the home at the time of the fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
