Minor Fire Extinguished Under Wildwood ‘Walk

WILDWOOD — City firefighters were dispatched to Cedar Avenue and the Boardwalk at 3:41 p.m. today for a report of a fire under the boardwalk with flames showing. First responders quickly doused the small blaze with a fire extinguisher.
The city’s public works department employees were asked to deliver barricades to the boardwalk in the area of the fire, which was out by 3:55 p.m.
