NORTH DENNIS – At approximately 3:40 p.m. March 19, Dennis Volunteer Fire Company units, along with automatic aid from Ocean View Volunteer Fire Company and Belleplain Volunteer Fire Company, were dispatched to the 100 block of Dudican Road, in North Dennis, for a reported structure fire.
According to the department’s Facebook page, units arrived on scene to find a one-story detached garage fully engulfed. Units deployed attack lines and extinguished the fire with no extension to other structures.

In addition to Ocean View and Belleplain, the Woodbine Volunteer Fire Company responded to Dennis Fire House, for a cover assignment. A ladder, from Stone Harbor Volunteer Fire Company, and a RIT (rapid intervention) team, from Green Creek Fire Company, were also en route but were recalled. The Belleplain Emergency Corporation and New Jersey State Police also responded to the scene, as well as the Cape May County Fire Marshal’s Office.
