Fire Damages Ocean City Dwelling; No Injuries Reported

OCEAN CITY – The Ocean City Fire Department responded to a structure fire in the 100 block of North Street at 1:06 p.m.  Jan. 31.
Upon arrival, Deputy Chief Charlie Bowman of the C Platoon reported smoke and fire showing from the roof of a single-family home.
 According to a release, all Ocean City units responded and assisted in an aggressive fire attack and search of the structure. There were no occupants in the building at the time, and there were no reported injuries. The home suffered extensive damage. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Fire companies from Marmora, Margate and Somers Point provided mutual assistance, along with the Upper Township Rescue Squad and AtlantiCare.
