OCEAN VIEW – Ocean View Fire Company was dispatched to Lake and Shore Campground for a trailer fire May 29 at 11:11 a.m.
According to an Ocean View Fire Company Facebook post, the caller reported a fully involved trailer. When first responders arrived they found two well-involved trailers and began attacking the blaze.
Another engine arrived and stretched additional attack lines. Tanker 17, Tanker 18, Tanker 1943 and Tanker 1545 supplied water. The fire was under control in a few minutes and is under investigation by the Cape May County Fire Marshal’s Office.
Assisting agencies at the scene were Dennis Fire Company, Seaville Fire and Rescue, Avalon Fire Department, Marmora Fire Company, Belleplain Emergency Corps, Upper Township Rescue, New Jersey State Police, Atlantic City Electric and Suburban Propane.
Court House Fire Company provided coverage for the duration of the incident. There were no reported injuries.
