Two days of family-friendly fun are planned for Historic Cold Spring Village’s Family Fun Weekend, on Saturday and Sunday, July 26 and 27 from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., sponsored by Crest Savings Bank.
“There will be a great variety of enjoyable activities for kids and parents this weekend, including an afternoon touch tank presented by the Nature Center of Cape May, juggling, face painting, balloon animals and even a toy train ride,” said Karen Hollywood, Village Special Events Coordinator.
There will also be magic shows at the Village Gazebo both days. On Saturday and Sunday, John Kraft, a leading authority on the Lenape Indians, will offer unique programs throughout the day including the musical instruments, tools and clothing of the Lenape.
On Saturday, Jersey Shore Alpacas will share their beautiful animals and on Sunday afternoon Smokey Bear will visit with children throughout the grounds.
The Family Activity Area will feature children’s dress-up clothes, games, activities and crafts.
Fun and educational activities for children are featured Tuesday through Friday all summer long through Labor Day, plus weekend events until mid-September.
Located on Route 9, Historic Cold Spring Village is a non-profit, open air living history museum that portrays the daily life of a rural South Jersey community of the Early American period.
