WEST WILDWOOD – Wildwood City firefighters responded to the 200 block J Avenue in West Wildwood at 9:40 a.m. July 11 for a reported fall victim from a second-story deck.
Chief Daniel Speigel arrived and requested a helicopter due to the patient’s injuries. Quint Company 3 and Ambulance 3-1, under the command of Capt. James Grauel, arrived and began patient care. The patient was treated on scene, loaded and began transport to Maxwell Field where the landing zone was established.
Medic 9 met Ambulance 3-1 en route to the landing zone and began ALS measurers. Atlantic Air 4 arrived and transported the patient to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center-Trauma Center.
The patient reportedly suffered a fractured femur and head injuries. No other information will be released at this time pending notification to relatives.
