What is being billed as the largest concert in history is set for Saturday, July 7, and The Herald wants to know if you’re going!
We’re looking for individuals from Cape May County who are traveling up to East Rutherford, to attend the Live Earth concert at the New Jersey Meadowlands complex, one of nine concerts occurring simultaneously across seven continents Saturday whose aim is to help combat global warming.
The concerts kick off a multi-year-long campaign led by Alliance for Climate Protection and other international NGOs to drive individuals, corporations and governments to take action to solve global warming. Former U.S. Vice President Al Gore is chairman of the alliance. Gore will be hosting the New York concert, which features top-name acts such as The Police, Dave Matthews Band, Bon Jovi, and KT Tunstall, among others.
Are you going? If so, are you carpooling? Are you taking public transportation? What did you think about the experience?
Members of the Herald staff are heading up Saturday, and we’d love to talk to you! Leave us a message with your cell phone, we’ll give you a ring the day of the event; or, drop us an email at savedissian@cmcherald.com, or call 609-886-8600 ext. 27.
Deadline for comments: Sunday, July 8.
