By Herald Staff

COURT HOUSE — Another victim of recent flooding in the Cape May County seat were 300 volumes of voter registration records stowed in the basement of the County Board of Elections office on Mechanic Street.
Under the direction of Cape May County Clerk’s Records and Information Management (RIM) Office the Board of Elections and Facilities and Services (F&S) staff are making use of sunny warm weather April 5 to dry and process 300 volumes of original pre-2006 voter registration records.
According to County Clerk Rita Fulginiti, “These records have been removed from the flooded basement of the Board of Elections Office on Mechanic Street in Cape May Court House and will be preserved by scanning and microfilming.”
