After the Storm Comes the Dawn

CAPE MAY- After a night of wind and rain, dawn brought clearing skies and a temperature of 58 degrees at daybreak at Poverty Beach.
The Wildwood Automated Weather Station is reporting 1.54 inches of rain in past the 24 hours ending at 6:55 a.m. Thursday.
Thursday will be mild in the morning becoming sunny with a high near 64 with a west wind between 22 and 24 mph, with gusts as high as 36 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. Temperatures will drop in the afternoon with an overnight low near 43.
A number of holiday festivities are scheduled for Friday and Saturday.
Friday will be sunny with a high near 50. Friday night will be mostly cloudy, with a low around 38. North wind between 6 and 14 mph.
Saturday’s forecast is calling for cloudy skies with a 50 percent chance of rain with a daytime high near 43. Breezy with a north wind between 20 and 22 mph. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
Saturday Night: A chance of snow. Cloudy and breezy, with a low around 33. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent, according to the National Weather Service..
