CREST HAVEN – The Boards of School Estimate for the Cape May County County Technical School and the Special Services School convened via telephone March 24, as freeholders listened.
After a brief presentation by Superintendent Dr. Nancy Hudanich, budgets for both were approved.
The Technical School sought $8.22 million and the Special Services School asked for $4.14 million.
Hudanich noted the present “very fluid situation” due to the novel coronavirus which has forced the closure of all public and private schools since mid-March.
She added the district was doing its best to “carry on its educational mission.” The districts include students with all learning abilities and ages, she noted.
“To that end, I am proud to come to the board and say we are requesting flat finances in both districts,” Hudancih said.
State aid to both districts remained flat, she said.
