‘Dance of Life’ classes at Library

By On Deck Staff

The Cape May County Library is pleased to offer a “Dance of Life Workshop.” Classes will be held at 4 p.m. for seven weeks beginning September 16 until October 28 at the Upper Branch Library, 2050 Route 631, Petersburg.
Students will be introduced to a variety of movement forms; dance, tai chi, yoga, and others designed to awaken, refresh, and expand one’s movement repertoire and explore both familiar and new ways to experience ourselves and our surroundings. Each week participants will learn a different spin on living in our environment while learning to create their own “Dance of Life.”
The class is led by Diane Godynick, a Dance/Movement Therapist-Educator. Godynick developed her current practice from the fields of teaching, social work, and dance/movement in a variety of settings. Training in dance techniques as well as Yoga and Tai Chi formed the groundwork for her current practice, where she enjoys exploring possibility through both verbal and non verbal methods.
Class size is limited; therefore registration and a Cape May County Library Card in good standing are required to participate.
