COLD SPRING — On Aug. 14 at approximately 10:20 p.m., Lower Township Police Officers responded to a domestic call in the 600-block of Route 9.
Upon arrival, Officer Robert Fessler was met by a male subject who stated he was just assaulted by his fiancé who had struck him in the face with a closed fist approximately five times.
The male’s fiancé was identified as Judy Lund, 36, of the same address.
Officers observed that the male’s face was swollen and bleeding.
Officers then spoke with Lund, who they described as highly intoxicated and advised her that she was under arrest for assaulting her fiancé.
At this time, Lund became highly belligerent and combative, yelling profanities at the officers and refusing to be handcuffed. Lund was eventually handcuffed with the assistance of Class II Officer Joel Sanders.
She was processed at the Lower Township Police Department where she continued to be highly combative and belligerent towards officers.
She was then transported to the Cape May County Jail on charges of simple assault and resisting arrest.
