TOWN BANK – Patrolman Corey Scheid, with the Lower Township Police Department, conducted a motor vehicle stop in the vicinity of Clubhouse Drive and Cedarbrook Road Aug. 18.
During the investigation of the motor vehicle infraction, the driver of the vehicle, Kristen Woods, 28, who resides in Villas, was found to be in possession of Suboxone, a schedule three narcotic, for which she did not have a valid prescription.
Suboxone is a doctor-prescribed drug which is generally used to treat narcotic (opiate) addiction.
Woods was taken into custody and transported to the Lower Township Police Department. She was charged on a summons complaint with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS), a crime of the third degree.
At the conclusion of processing, Woods was released on her own recognizance and the matter is now pending court.
The charges and allegations contained in the complaint are merely accusations and the defendant is considered innocent unless and until proven guilty.
