Wildwood Police Investigating Overnight Stabbing

WILDWOOD– Police are investigating a stabbing which occurred on New Jersey Ave shortly before midnight on Wednesday, June 2.
The victim who has not been identified by police was jumped by an unknown number of people in front of the 7-Eleven convenience store. The victim reported to be an adult male sustained a stab wound in the attack. “We don’t have anyone in custody and we don’t know who or how many people were involved at this point”, Wildwood police Sgt. Jordan said.
Jordan said the victim was conscious and alert before he was transported to the trauma unit at Atlanticare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City by Wildwood Fire Department.
The stabbing is under investigation by the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office.
