Warrant Arrest Yields Drug Charge

WHITESBORO — On Jan. 27 at about 5 p.m., Middle Township Patrolman David Hagan, assisted by the department’s Street Crimes Unit, conducted a motor vehicle stop on a red Dodge Caravan on Route 9.
The driver of the van, identified as Albert “Rocky” Burton, 28, of the 200 block of West Sumner Street, was arrested on an outstanding Middle Township traffic warrant.
Burton was found to be in possession of a quantity of heroin and rock cocaine with an estimated street value of $600. He was also in possession of over $600 cash, which was seized as proceeds of drug distributions.
Burton was charged with possession and possession with the intent to distribute cocaine and heroin. He was lodged in county jail in lieu of $35,000 cash bail.
