LOWER TOWNSHIP- On October 25, The Lower Township Police Department conducted an interdiction operation in the North Cape May section of Lower Township that yielded an arrest of a female, Dena L. King, 28 years of age, of the 100 block of West Drumbed in the Villas section of Lower Township.
She arrived in the parking area of a convenience store to deliver 16 bags of heroin.
Shortly thereafter, her boyfriend, Greg Lloyd, 30 years of age of the same address, arrived on scene for a second delivery of 10 bags of heroin.
Lloyd spotted Detective Chris Lambert and fled on foot, discarding the heroin in the parking lot where it was recovered. After a brief foot pursuit, he was subdued and arrested.
Both King and Lloyd were taken to the Lower Township Police Department for processing. Lloyd also consented to a search of his residence for any additional heroin or other contraband.
This search proved negative for any additional items. Further investigation is continuing into a female third party who drove Lloyd to the location and is still in possession of a large undetermined amount of heroin.
Judge David DeWeese set bail at $25,000 for Lloyd and $15,000 for King , who are both charged with Possession of Heroin and Possession of Heroin with the intent to distribute.
Both subjects were then transferred to the Cape May County Correctional Center in lieu of bail.
Patrolman Ted Nagel, Detective Chris Lambert and Detective Sergeant Thomas Keywood investigated the case.
