By Herald Staff

US MARSHAL PRESS RELEASE:
ATLANTIC CITY — After diligent and relentless, investigative efforts, federal marshals and officers from the Atlantic City Division of the NY/NJ Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested Eric Creamer in Pennsylvania, according to a release from the U.S. Marshal’s office.
During the month of April in 2009, Creamer, was allegedly burglarizing numerous residences throughout the Cape May County area, the release stated. During these incidences, he is suspected of stealing electronic equipment, jewelry, cash, collectibles and all-terrain vehicles.
During the last burglary, Creamer intentionally ignited a fire inside the residence in an effort to destroy any evidence linking him to the burglaries. The fire completely destroyed the dwelling and Creamer fled the state soon thereafter, the Marshal’s office said.
New Jersey State Police issued warrants for his arrest on charges of arson and ten counts of burglary. On Feb. 3, task force officers working with federal marshals from the Middle District of Pennsylvania arrested Creamer without incident inside a residence in Hazleton, PA.
“The combined efforts of all agencies involved led to the successful arrest of this dangerous fugitive,” said New Jersey District U.S. Marshal James T. Plousis.
According to published reports, Creamer, 19, of North Pinetree Road in Hazelton, was being held in the Luzerne County Correctional Facility in Wilkes-Barre, Pa. on $100,000 bail set by District Judge Joseph Zola pending extradition back to this county.
