SOUTH DENNIS — New Jersey State Police notified Middle Township police on Nov. 19 that they investigated a series of burglaries that were reported on Gravel Hole Road, Myrtle Avenue and Washington Avenue, Dennis Township between 9 a.m. and noon.
At that time, Middle Township police were investigating burglaries at residences on Wahl Avenue and on Buck’s Avenue, both in Goshen, not far from Route 47 close to the other incidents.
According to a State Police release, there have been similar burglaries in Dennis Township over the previous weeks.
From information learned at the scenes, police said the suspect(s) may be knocking on doors to ascertain whether or not anyone is in the residence at the time.
Middle Township police have alerted the public to be on the lookout for any suspicious vehicles.
On Nov. 19, Middle Township police issued a release alerting the public, and enlisting its aid, in solving the recent string of residential burglaries.
Since Nov. 16, the department responded to six residential home burglaries.
On Nov. 16, forced entry into two homes in the 100 block Stagecoach Road, Court House. One home was occupied at the time, at about 9:30 a.m.
On Nov. 17, a home on Dory Drive reportedly was burglarized between Nov. 11-17.
On Nov. 19, entry was made into three homes, two using force, one on Bucks Avenue, Goshen, just off Route 47, another a short distance away on Wahl Avenue, Goshen.
A third home was reported burglarized on Reeves Street, Whitesboro.
Property stolen included money, coins, jewelry and a digital camera.
It appears that both burglaries in the Goshen area occurred in the morning hours.
As reported above, the State Police investigated three residential daytime home burglaries, one in an occupied home, also on Nov. 19 in the morning.
Police are asking the public to use caution, and to report any suspicious activity. They also urged that home windows and doors are locked.
