Clarification: Lower Township Police Department’s arrest report for the week of May 5-May 11 listed Steven E. Tomlin Jr. as charged with harassment. Police stated that resulted from a citizen complaint pending in municipal court. “The law makes no distinction between a physical arrest and a summons service as far as to the nature of the complaint,” stated Lt. Martin Biersbach. He noted the department has made “appropriate changes in compiling the data to prevent this from occurring again.” Tomlin wrote, “I was never arrested nor was I charged with harassment.”
