NORTH CAPE MAY — Two men were arrested in an investigation by Lower Township police into an alleged fraudulent prescription scheme.
Police said that William Fox of the first block of Woodside Drive in Court House attempted to present a fraudulent prescription at the Acme Pharmacy in North Cape May Oct. 29. Police said Fox was found waiting outside in the parking lot with a suspect identified as Damien Andrews.
Fox was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property, obtaining by fraud, forgery and obtaining by fruad/altering a prescription for the Acme incident. Bail was set at $15,000 and Fox was taken to Cape May County Correctional Center in lieu of bail.
Andrews, of the 700 block of Gorham Ave. in North Cape May, was arrested on Oct. 31 after further investigation and charged with various counts of prescription fraud, forgery and possession of a controlled dangerous substance. Bail was set at $50,000 and Andrews was transferred to the Cape May County Correctional Center in lieu of bail.
