WOODBINE— Troopers from the Woodbine station and members of the State Police Tactical Unit executed a search warrant at 742 Lincoln Avenue on Friday, Nov 20 at 10:30 a.m., according to Detective Brian Polite.
A nine-millimeter hand gun was recovered with forty grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, Polite said.
Jorrell Elston, 32, and Jessica Caraballo, 32, who reside at the home were charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, and related drug charges, Polite said.
Caraballo was additionally charged with endangering the welfare of her three children. Polite said the children were placed in the custody of family.
Elston has prior drug charges according to the State Department of Corrections. Their website shows he was charged with drug distribution in 1997 and drug distribution on school property in 1999.
Elston and Caraballo were lodged in the Cape May County jail in lieu of $75,000 cash bail.
