Teen Thieves Nabbed
NORTH CAPE MAY — Four Pennsylvania teens were arrested last week for burglarizing cars in the area of Clubhouse Drive.
Special Officer David Rousseau, of the Lower Township Police Department, arrested the subjects around midnight on Sept. 23 after hearing reports of things being stolen from neighborhood vehicles.
Rousseau had, earlier in the night, stopped to assist a group of teens pulled over to the side of Clubhouse Drive. After hearing of the burglaries he located the vehicle, noticed the stolen items and arrested the occupants.
Arrested were: Howard McCain, of Modena, Pa.; Kelly Matthew, of Chester Springs, Pa.; Kenneth Bireley, of Modena, Pa.; and Shawn Ullman, of Downingtown, Pa. All subjects were 18 years old.
They were charged with two counts of burglary and theft as well as one count of unlawful possession of a weapon. They were transferred to county jail in lieu of $25,000 bail set by Judge David DeWeese.
