Stone Harbor PD Releases July Report

STONE HARBOR — Councilman Tom Cope, chairman of Public Safety Committee, gave an overall police report for the month of July during council’s meeting Aug. 18.
Stone Harbor Police Department handled 1,678 dispatch calls that included 49 medical emergencies, 18 fire emergencies, 22 noise violations and 41 animal calls.
There were 32 arrests, which included 15 juvenile arrests and six DWI arrests.
Police made 530 motor vehicle stops. Not all stops result in a ticket.
Cope said there were 106 moving violations, which is about 1/5 of all stops.
He said police logged an average of about 18 moving violations per day.
