Seth Cooper Sentenced to 14 Years

COURT HOUSE– Seth Cooper was sentenced to 14 years in prison on Friday, Aug 14, the Press of Atlantic City Reports. The sentencing was for weapons and hindering apprehension charges, according to the report. A jury found Cooper not guilty of murder and aggravated manslaughter in Dec of 2008.
Cooper has been in the Cape May County Jail for over 2 years following his arrest in the shooting death of John Cavicchio III in Middle Township in December 2006.
Cooper said he fired a single gunshot in self defense as Cavicchio drove toward him on Dec. 10, 2006.
