Police Nab Woman with 16 Bags of Heroin

NORTH CAPE MAY — Lower Township police Wednesday, Feb. 4 at approximately 9 a.m. while conducting a drug interdiction operation here arrested a white female who was in the process of delivering heroin.
According to police, the suspect is identified as Tiffany M. Brewster, 23, of the 100 block of Fire Lane in this community. She was under surveillance when she arrived near her residence in the suspected vehicle off of Bayshore Road.
Shortly thereafter Detective Chris Lambert and Detective First Class Mel Hedum approached her and seized approximately 16 bags of heroin, cash and syringes that she had secreted in the motor vehicle she had been traveling in.
Brewster was arrested at the scene without incident. Additionally, approximately $300 cash related to the purchase of or sale of narcotics was seized and forwarded to the county Prosecutor’s Office for forfeiture proceedings.
She was charged with possession of heroin and possession with the intent to distribute. She was remanded to county jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail set by Judge David DeWeese.
Officer Jennifer Anzelone, Detective Chris Lambert and Detective First Class Mel Hedum investigated the case.
