Police Make Drug Bust in Wildwood

WILDWOOD — On April 23, the Cape May County Regional SWAT team executed a court authorized search warrant at a home in the 3700 block of Arctic Avenue.
Police seized drugs with a street value of $11,000 including four ounces of cocaine, an ounce of marijuana, five pills of hallucinogenic Ecstasy and an undisclosed amount of currency. The investigation and search was a joint effort between the county Prosecutor’s Guns, Gangs and Narcotics Task Force, Wildwood police and the county Sheriff’s Canine Unit.
Police charged Donnell Hill, 29, of Arctic Avenue, with second-degree drug distribution, second-degree distribution near a public place, third-degree cocaine possession and third-degree possession with the intent to distribute. According to the Prosecutor’s Office, persons convicted of second-degree crimes face jail terms of between five and 10 years, and those convicted of third-degree crimes between three and five years.
Hill was lodged in county jail in lieu of $50,000 cash bail.
