Police Charge Wildwood Man with Tool Theft

BURLEIGH — On Feb. 22 just before 4 p.m., Middle Township police responded to Home Depot on Indian Trail Road for a report of a theft of power tools.
Patrolman Tracey Super responded to the scene and observed an employee of Home Depot and the accused, David Espinosa, 35, of Wildwood, fighting on the ground by the exit.
Super placed Espinosa under arrest.
Upon further investigation, Espinosa was charged with robbery, burglary tools, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was county jail on $15,000 bail.
According to the state Department of Corrections, Espinosa previously served more than four years in prison on drug, theft and criminal attempt charges. He was released from East Jersey State Prison in Rahway, Middlesex County on July 23, 2007.
