Minutes later a call was received that a female juvenile had been the victim of a strong-arm robbery across from the high school.
The victim and her mother told police that they had located robbery suspect in the 100 block of East Hildreth Avenue. After officers responded to that location and conducted further investigation, they arrested Daniel Colon-Pons, 21, of Wildwood, without incident.
Colon-Pons was charged with second-degree robbery for ripping a gold and silver chain valued at $500 from the neck of the victim and pushing her about the upper chest area. He was also charged with second-degree terroristic threats for threatening to break the necks of the victim and her mother if they informed the police about the incident.
Colon-Pons was lodged in county jail in lieu of $100,000 cash bail set by Judge David S. DeWeese.
