OCEAN CITY — On Aug. 27 at 11:02 a.m., Ocean City police were notified of a subject that was lying in the street. Upon arrival of the Officers they discovered a male subject who was yelling profanities.
As the Officers attempted to calm the subject and gain information, the subject became more agitated and uncooperative continuing to yell profanities. The subject was then placed under arrest by the officers for his disruptive behavior.
Once in custody the subject physically kicked the arresting Officer and attempted to strike other Officers assisting with the arrest. He was also discovered to be in possession of a small knife.
Joseph T. Tucker, 52, of Asbury Park, was charged with aggravated assault, disorderly conduct, obstruction and weapons possession. He was lodged in county jail on $2,500 cash bail set by Judge Richard Russell. Tucker also had an additional arrest warrant out of Ocean Grove for $150.00.
