VILLAS — Lower Township police arrested a Chester, Pa. resident and Villas man for cocaine and heroin possession Oct. 2 as they conducted a drug interdiction operation here.
According to a release, at about 8 p.m. on Oct. 2, police stopped a vehicle that was allegedly in the process of delivering the illicit drugs.
The first suspect, Michael. C. Brenton, 23, of the first block of Pinetree Drive, Villas, and William E. Curry, 38, of the 2000 block of W. Third Street, Chester, Pa., were in the vehicle when it was stopped. Police found both to be in possession of various narcotics and drug paraphernalia.
Seized was 28 bags of crack cocaine, several bags of heroin and several syringes, used to ingest the heroin.
Additionally, several edged weapons were seized from the suspects. Both were arrested at the scene and transported to Lower Township Police Department for processing.
Judge David DeWeese set bail at $75,000 cash for Brenton. He was charged with possession of cocaine, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of heroin, distribution of drug paraphernalia, possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose.
Curry was charged with possession of cocaine and destruction of evidence. His bail was set at $25,000.
Both were remanded to county jail in lieu of bail.
