PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCMENTS:
• On May 21, the Police Department in cooperation with the Ocean City Schools conducted a Level II Lockdown Drill at the Intermediate School. This drill is part of the ongoing training of both police officers and the school community in the event of an incident in the schools
• On May 21, the Police Department had a photograph taken of all officers. This is the first time that a photograph of this nature has been taken in over 34 years. The photo was taken on the steps of City Hall
• On May 28, the Ocean City Community Oriented Policing Unit along with the U.S. Secret Service will host a fraud seminar at the Tabernacle. All business owners are encouraged to attend. The event starts at 8:30am
• On June 14, the Ocean City Community Oriented Policing Unit will be hosting the annual COP CHASE 5K run and 2 mile walk. Registration starts at 7:30am at the Civic Center, 6th St. & Boardwalk. Children fun runs follow.
