By Herald Staff

OCEAN CITY — On November 27, 2009 and November 28, 2009 the Ocean City Police investigated twenty reports of criminal mischief that had occurred in the areas of 18th Street to 37th Street.
At the time of the reports a general description was given of two juvenile males wearing army “camouflage” outfits committing the acts of criminal mischief. The damage consisted of broken vinyl fence posts and caps along the alleys.
On November 28, 2009 the Ocean City Police responded to 1928 Central Avenue for a report of two juveniles being held by private citizens for damaging property. When the officers arrived they found two juveniles being detained by two adults that had witnessed acts of criminal mischief by the juveniles.
Information received that one of the victims was in the process of repairing damage to his property from the previous night. The victim then heard a loud noise in the alley. The victim was able to observe the two male juveniles committing additional acts of criminal mischief to vinyl fences. The juveniles were also wearing similar clothing as had been previously reported. The victim along with a neighbor chased down the suspects and detained them until police arrived.
The juveniles, one 14 and one 15 years old, both of Ocean City, were charged on a juvenile complaint for all twenty reported incidents. Both juveniles were released into the custody of their guardians.
