OCEAN CITY — On Saturday, Oct. 11, the Ocean City Police Department investigated a burglary and theft at G’G’ Taylor Shop on Asbury Avenue. The incident had apparently occurred during the evening hours after the business closed. The accused persons were able to force entry into the building through a window. Once in the building the they
gained access to a cash register and stole several hundred dollars in cash.
Officers at the scene were able to obtain physical evidence left behind at the scene by the subjects. That evidence helped officers locate the accused persons in Atlantic City with the assistance of the Atlantic City Police Department.
The suspects, two 16-year-old males, one from Atlantic City the other of Holmes, Pa. were taken into custody and charged with burglary and theft.
Both were released into the custody of their guardians.
Investigating the incident were Patrolman Michael Gray, Sgt. Brian Trostle and Detective Stephen Schaffer.
