Press Release by: Middle Township Police
On Jan. 30, Middle Township Police were called to Walton st. in Rio Grande for a motor vehicle theft that had occurred during the night. Patrolman Tracy Super responded to take the report. When the vehicle was entered as stolen, we received a delayed hit confirmation on the vehicle.
The stolen vehicle had been stopped that morning by Middle Township Police. The driver Kevin Davidson, 28 years old from Cove Drive North Cape May had been stopped at 1:30 am by Patrolman Jack Trombetta.
Davidson was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and the vehicle was impounded. Davidson had been released after the arrest for the DWI.
Patrolman Super contacted Lower Township Police to request their assistance in arresting Davidson.
Patrolman Donald Vanaman of Lower Township Police arrested Davidson at Kentucky Fried Chicken and relayed him to Middle Township Police.
Davidson was charged with theft of a motor vehicle, he was then placed in the Cape May County Correctional Center.
