Middle Police File Drug Charges Against Golden

COURT HOUSE — Middle Township police on July 25 filed additional criminal charges against Nicholas Golden, 18, of Philadelphia, previously charged with driving while intoxicated and other offenses in connection with the July 21 head-on crash that claimed the life of Craig Lozier, 20, of Court House.
According to a release, as part of a continuing investigation into the fatal motor vehicle accident on July 21 on Route 47, a search warrant was executed on Golden’s vehicle.
That search resulted in charges of:
• Possession of marijuana over one ounce but less than five ounces.
• Possession with intent to distribute marijunan.
• Possession of Oxycodone over five but less than 100 pills.
• Possession with the intent to distribute Oxycodone.
Bail of $25,000 was set.
Golden was arrested July 25 at police headquarters, and remanded to county jail.
He was later released on bail later that day, according to jail records.
Golden had previously been charged with driving while intoxicated and motor vehicle infractions as a result of a motor vehicle accident. Lozier, who was operating a motorcycle, was killed in that accident.
The case continues to be under investigation by the Middle Township Police Department and the Cape May County Prosecutors Office.
