Man in Critical Condition Found Beaten by Bayshore Lounge

NORTH CAPE MAY –– A man was found beaten outside the Bayshore Lounge and airlifted to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Campus, where he was listed in critical condition and on a ventilator.
Police responded to the report of a man lying outside the club around 2:30 a.m. Sept. 29 and found him in a grassy area along side the building with apparent head trauma.
Upon investigation, police found no suspect in the vicinity but a witness reported seeing a white male strike the victim in the head and flee the scene in a silver or champagne colored Chevrolet Tahoe heading south on Bayshore Avenue.
The victim was treated by Lower Township Rescue before being flown to AtlantiCare.
The victim’s name is being withheld pending further investigation by Patrolman Ryan Hansberry and Detective Mel Hedum.
