Man Charged with DWI After Causing Disturbance at Local Tavern

MIDDLE TOWNSHIP POLICE RELEASE:
COURT HOUSE — On July 18, 2009 at 10:42 pm, Middle Twp. Police Department received a call from Atkinson’s Tavern that a white male with dark hair was causing a disturbance, was intoxicated and was leaving the parking lot in a black Lincoln.
Sgt. Conte spotted the black Lincoln Mark VII turn North on Dennisville Road from Route 9.
The Lincoln was stopped for speeding and swerving all over the road. The driver, Robert J. Martin, 48, of CMCH was subsequently arrested for DWI.
He was charged with DWI, Speeding, Refusal of a Breath Test, Reckless Driving, Open Container of Alcohol in a Vehicle, Failure to Maintain a Lane and Failure to Change His Address on His Drivers License. He was released to his mother.
